In this project I did digital preservation of all kind of medical records inclusive documents, pictures and CT scans (for digital preservation) and manage the accessibility for authorized persons for the VieCurie Medical Center. This project was all about DataBase Management, Data Management and Digitization. “Digitization” is also used to describe the process of populating databases with files or data. To digitize something is to convert something from an analog into a digital format (digital preservation).

Digitization vs Digitalization

Digitization is the conversion of analog to digital, whereas digitalization is the use of digital technologies and digitized data to impact how work gets done, transform how customers and companies engage and interact, and create new (digital) revenue streams.
